Richard Dutton
My art works are developed from on site sketching, plein paintings and information gathering. I taught art history and studio classes at a college and this helps form a basis for my art works.
My wife 'Karen' and I both like gardens and the Southwestern
United States and they are a big part of my imagery. I really like to travel and I gather images from these experiences in various parts of the world. I also like trains and locomotives so these also are a part of my artistic expression also.
I do not focus work too much on the actual forms but on the shapes that describes the subject. The power of the abstraction and visual expression is a focus in forming my art works.
